	Or, Why Am I Doing This? Founder Matt Mitchell shares why he started Fishwrappers: I’ve always been interested in art. So in college, I chose architecture as a way to turn that passion into a profession. Unfortunately, after almost 20 years in the business, my passion was fading. When I began a new relationship with Jesus Christ, I continually found myself face-to-face with a nagging question: “Why am I doing this?” There was a disconnect between my vocation and my desire to use my gifts, abilities, and passions to serve in every area of my life—including work! As I helped my church redesign our children’s worship area, I found a new direction. I saw art and graphics being used to peak curiosity and get people talking. I learned that through art, scriptural ideas can be presented in clever ways. I discovered that I felt compelled to use the gifts God has given me to tell—and help others tell—about the amazing Gift of Jesus Christ. It’s a Gift that’s so wonderful, so fantastic, so incredible that we should share it in an exciting, encouraging, joyful, and fun way. So, why shirts? I see them as part of everyday life. They’re a great way to naturally reach a lot of people. The graphics are intriguing enough that people are saying: “That’s pretty cool. What’s does it mean?” And those questions allow you to tell your story and how it fits into the Greatest Story Ever Told. My hope is that Fishwrappers—this company that was started by one guy (me) with the support of friends and family members, and a lot of God’s grace— will be a vehicle and a tool for Christians to share the joy of knowing Jesus Christ, that by doing so they'll bring others to the path of salvation through Him and that, through Point One, we'll be able to meet some physical needs in the process.
